Creating Final Product

This week in ISM, I will focus on creating my final product: a slideshow presentation video that highlights the dangers of using tanning beds and tanning outdoors, particularly in relation to skin cancer. Throughout the course of this project, I have had several mentor visits and conducted extensive research, which has provided me with valuable insights into the harmful effects of UV radiation. Based on this, I aim to develop an informative and engaging presentation that will effectively communicate the risks associated with tanning, specifically targeting teenagers who may be unaware of the potential long-term consequences.

The slideshow will include information on how tanning beds and prolonged exposure to the sun can increase the risk of developing skin cancer, as well as the impact of these practices on overall skin health. I will also include statistics and expert opinions to back up my claims and provide compelling evidence to encourage behavior change.

By utilizing visuals and persuasive messaging, my goal is to raise awareness among teenagers about the dangers of tanning and ultimately persuade them to stop using tanning beds or intentionally sunbathing. I believe that, with the help of my mentor's feedback and the research I've gathered, I can create a presentation that effectively encourages positive change and promotes healthier habits.
