Finalizing My Final Product

This week in ISM, I will focus on finalizing my product: a slideshow presentation video that highlights the dangers of using tanning beds and tanning outdoors, with a particular emphasis on skin cancer. Throughout this project, I’ve had several mentor meetings and conducted thorough research, which has provided me with valuable insights into the harmful effects of UV radiation. Drawing on this information, my goal is to create an informative and engaging presentation that effectively communicates the risks of tanning, especially targeting teenagers who may not be fully aware of the potential long-term consequences.

The presentation will cover how tanning beds and excessive sun exposure increase the risk of developing skin cancer and negatively affect overall skin health. I will include relevant statistics and expert opinions to support my claims and provide strong evidence to encourage behavior change.

Using visuals and persuasive messaging, my aim is to raise awareness among teenagers about the dangers of tanning and ultimately encourage them to stop using tanning beds and avoid intentional sunbathing. With feedback from my mentor and the research I’ve gathered, I’m confident I can create a presentation that motivates positive change and promotes healthier habits.
